Having lived in rural areas most of my life, I’ve always enjoyed drawing and painting animals and elements of the land. For landscape, building, and animal commissions, I sketch at the actual site and meet the subject in person when possible, then gather reference photographs for accuracy. I work with the client to capture the essence of a place or animal, whether as a straightforward rendering, or a scene imbued with nostalgia. See work samples below.
